New Headset for Reign - Need reco....

    Hi all,

I did a search, but didn't come up with anything. My stock cane creek headset is making some nasty clicking noises and has a bunch of play in it. I have no idea what kind of things could make that happen.

Anyway, I figure this is time to upgrade it. Any good recommendations for the integrated headsets? FSA, Cane Creek, etc. with model numbers would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    EB

I went with a Cane Creek ZS-2 and I've had no problems.

Your giant has a 50 mm head tube. There are a few companies that make the HS for it. Just be sure that the small cups have the chamfer on the bottom edge. The ones with the square edge wont fit. Just a side note, the head set is INTERNAL not INTEGRATED. Integrated headsets press bearings directly into the head tube, the HS on your giant has cups. I run the one from FSA on my Ac with no problems at all.

thanks man. I realize my terminology wasn't straight after I did more research.

Yeah, I just ordered an FSA orbit Z1 from Jensen that fits an OD of 50mm and ID of 44mm. Based on some info. I found, that should be fine. I put a mic on my Headtube and it was indeed 50mm, so I felt pretty confident with that purchase.

    Cheers,
