    Mystery Bike

    Hello World!

I just bought this for 40. Any Idea what it is? A previous owner had some fun removing all the names and logos. I'm pretty sure it's a Giant. The reason I ask is, it needs some tender loving care - starting with fork bushings and a seat post that's the correct diameter. Almost everything else needs servicing too!

These show the only visible lettering on the bike:

It's a Giant AC of some variety. Yikes, good luck with that project.

Do you think it's a small side run or a development version or something similar? I can't find a picture of another AC with the exact same frame.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's going to need a 28.6mm seat post. Thats unusual right?

It's got a steel frame. Very confusing.

Whatever it is, IMHO, not worth throwing any money at it.

I got a seat post on eBay. I just need to look at the forks and it should at least be ridable. Then I'll see what needs doing from there. I'll probably need some guidance on what bushings to get for the forks
