    Hey VT riders

I'm considering buying a VT frame to build up as a trail bike. I live in the northeast, and trails around here never dry up... making mud a issue on every ride. I really like all that the VT offers, but I'm concerned that the rear suspension design would be difficult to clean after a muddy ride... seems things are pretty tight around that swinger.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It is pretty tight around the rear shock, but not that difficult to clean with either light hosing or some brushes, depending on your preference. If you really need to clean it, remove the back wheel, and it is easy to get at the parts.

I ride in Northern Virginia/Maryland where it is often a little messy.

Yep its tight to clean around the linkages and Swinger shock, but one thing Ive found really helpful is a soft mag wheel brush i bought from an auto store for cleaning car wheels......this simply slips into the tight spots and makes it quite easy to clean all the mud etc out.
    Cheers
