    2018 XTC Advanced 29er 1

Does anyone have some good ride time on this bike? I am looking at making the purchase but just wanted to hear some others thoughts.

I have the 2016 model but it is a 27.7. I took it out on a paved trail yesterday with girl friend. She could not beleive all the work she had to do and all I had to do was pedal 4 times and glide a long way. The xtc is a fast bike.

Buy it I have an older 2015 model but it is my favorite bike by far. I rarely ride my 27.5 Anthem the XTC Advanced 29 gets all my love. Light, sharp, fast it just feels right.

I wish Giant would come out with an SL model XTC that does away with the horizontal dropout. That would drop a few grams from the frame. I have no interest in singlespeed.

Mine doesn't have the horizontal dropout but its the older (2015-16?) 27.5 model advanced sl. I don't know if they did that too with they're 29 of that same year. It's fast and very light frame too.

I've got a 2018 XTC+. I bought it and sold off the 27.5 stuff and put 29er wheels and a Reba SL 100mm fork on it. The bike handles really good. Lots of fun and very predictable. The negatives are it has a tall top tube. It's just not a issue since that not what I ride on, but your shifter will hit it in the event of a crash/bar spin. I'm turning mine in to a Single so no issue there. It's a little heavier than most 29 carbon frames, but I swear it is so nimble feeling It rides lighter than it is. I also have a Carbon Epic hardtail, I like this bike and the way it handles better.

Bicycle Warehouse is blowing these out for $2,599. Killer bike for that price.
