    Listen! 2008 XTC?Specs?Pics?

I recently was told from a bike shop close to where i live would be getting a 2008 XTC in the 700$ range. Does anyone know anything about this, have pics or specs?

I heard they may also have a hardtail above the XTC on the way.... I don't know any more than that.

All I know is that they will be introducing an Alliance XTC that will have a carbon top tube, seat tube and seat stays bonded to an aluminum lower half.

Its on the Giant website now, I am checking out the XTC1 myself. Found a local shop selling it for $775. Might be time to get a new ride

    Frame size

    I'm 5ft 8 witha 30cm inseam......is the 19" suitable for me? Currently I'm riding a 18" Reign which suits me fine.

I'm 175cm (almost 5'9) and ride 19" frames (Talon and XTC Team), with setback seatposts and 100-105mm stems. The XTC does seem to have a slightly longer top tube though, but the sizing is pretty good.
I think in a Kona Kula, an 18" would be equivalent.

I just got my new 2008 XTC1 and after riding the L-20" and the M-18" I opted for the 18. I am 5'9"+ and felt the M had a better feel than the L for my size. Purchased it for $765, spent the night adding my lights and admiring it...lol. Will be taking it on a my morning commute tomorrow, can't wait.

Been on it daily for the past two weeks and love it. I changed out the seat for something that won't pinch off the jewels, put dual purpose pedals on and had to add my lights for my commuting time.

Sorry I dont have the exact weight, it isnt mentioned anywhere. Try calling your local Giant dealer, they should be able to answer that and if you find out I would be interested in knowing what they said.
