    2004 XTC 2 seatpost size

Anyone know what the proper size for the seatpost is? I tried finding it on the giant website but was unsuccessful.

The convencional size is 30,9. There are isolated cases the size is 31,6 (my 2003 XTC 1 for example)

My 2004 XTC2 Aus spec came with a 31.7mm seatpost shim. I used a 31.8mm thomson seatpost in it succesfully for about 2 years (then sold the frame).

A 31.6mm will work just aswell

thanks guys, im gonna get a 31.6 - i dont understand why some giant's frames come with stock seatposts that they have to shim - they should just come with the right size ( i guess its cheaper for them but still...)

Giant has now discontinued with the use of shims (as of 2006)
