    03 Ac 30.8?

Alright, i know there are other threads about this but... i want to know if those of you out there using a 30.8 or 30.9 (?) seatpost on your AC have issues regarding the actual insertion depth vs. a shimmed 27.2. Will it go as low? Also, i chattted with the man at my local bike shop today and he explained that giant uses a shim and a 27.2 to keep build costs down....whats up with that 30.9 size anyway?

the 03' AC has a sleeve/tab welded inside..

The seatube, specifically to prevent usage of a 30.8 seatpost. You cannot lower the post into the "hole" with a 30.8, whereas you can with a 27.2.
