    Winter wear...what say you?

ETA: Mods please move this to Apparel and Protection discussion. That's where I meant to put it and somehow I screwed up.

I got back into riding not too long ago and with cold temps/winter just around the corner I'm wondering what some of you are wearing, specifically pants. I ask because I've always hated wearing jeans/pants etc. (I prefer shorts) as I always got them caught in the chainring. Also, I'm not a big fan of spandex. One of my buddy's recommended using some sort of Velcro tie strap around my ankle and shin to keep the excess material tight to my leg.

So what is your cold weather setup?

Cycling shorts + thermal tights is the normal set up. If is cold enough, I through a pair of polar fleece pants on top with an ankle strap.

I'm thinking of adding a pair of these pants for this winter though:

This is probably more what you are looking for.

Wicking base layer, tights or thermal tights (depending on temps) and cycling shorts. If its really cold (below 15 or 20 f.) a wind proof over layer.
