What tires for a wet XC race?

There is rain in the forecast this weekend and it sounds like it might rain morning of the race. The course is mostly flat with a few mild climbs, sandy/roots, theres rocks but not many. Right now I use the Ritchey Zmax they clogged up in the mud at the last race. What type or rubber would you use?

My list (in wettest to driest):
    • Panaracer TrailRaker 1.95
    • Hutchinson Spider (any size)
    • Schwalbe Jimmy 2.1
    • Conti Explorer Pro 2.1

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

My choices, at least for the tires I've used.

From wet-ish to reeeeeeally hopelessly wet.

    Explorer Pro's or Jimmy Lights
Mosquito Golds or Airlights if it hopelessly wet(we have red clay)

    What I run.
Really wet/muddy, Panaracer Fire Mud. Awesome mud tires, don't clog with mud, and 440 grams each.
Medium conditions/ All around tire, Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1.
    Dry Conditions/Hardpack, Michelin Comp S Lite 2.0
