    SQlab 3OX Carbon 12 handlebar

Has anyone tried the SQlab 3OX Carbon 12 handlebar on their trail bike?

SQlab has a 12 or 16 degree option for trail bike use, but I feel the 16 would just be too much, especially for a 160mm trail bike. Has anyone tried these bars? Did they help with numbness issues?

They are pricey, so hoping for some feedback prior to dropping the coin.

    Thanks, Bryan

I use the aluminum model the past few years------for arthritis in the wrist-not numbness----has helped a ton----you may need to put a bit longer stem on to get the bar ends back where you have them.

I avoid the carbon bars largely as I cannot get my head around the cost so cannot comment on if the material helps or not.

    Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, the carbon are expensive, but I have been using carbon bars for a long time and have trouble with the idea of going back to aluminum, for no real good reason.

Are you using the 12 or 16 degree sweep? Do you know how far the sweep brings the bars back? I'm already having to purchase a new stem since all my bars are now 35's. I was going to go with a 50 or 60mm as my current setup is 35mm I believe.

    Great to hear it helps!

I only added 5mm using the 16 degree bar---largely because I had that stem laying around-10MM probably was perfect but 5MM is not much---I would suggest getting the bar and then compare with the old bar and then decide------I would guess the 50 may be a bit much--the 60mm seem like too much but lay them on top of each other

I got a 12* back sweep bar for my trail bike and it 100% solved my numbness issues immediately. Before i got it, i would have almost complete ulnar nerve numbness in my right hand within 5 minutes of riding my bike, every time. Before getting the bars i tried different grips, stem lengths, bar heights, bar rollback, gloves, etc.

Everyone is built differently but that was my experience. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. The ones i bouht were the Syntace Vector Carbon High 10mm rise, 760 wide, 12* backsweep. I got them thru Universal Cycles mail order. The SQLab stuff also gets excellent reviews. Good luck

Salsa Rustler Carbon is 11 degrees backsweep, may be helpful.

I have the 16 degree carbon version on my Krampus. Great handlebar. Good ride compliance.
