    Roscoe 8 Chameleon or Fuse?

I am new to the forum so forgive me if this post is in the wrong place. Iím looking for some advice on my first purchase. My budget is 2k and have been trying to decide between Roscoe 8, Fuse , and Chameleon. It is tough with the bike shortage as I really cannot find an XL anywhere to try out. That being said, Iím a bigger athletic built guy. Wondering what might suit me best. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

Each bike offers different builds. Your budget may influence that.

All are good in their own right. I have a Chameleon, friends have a Fuse. Not sure one is better than another. Some are better 'bang for the buck' though.

My mid level Chameleon (2019) is over priced for what it comes with, for example. They have changed since I got mine so can't really say what the dollar value is today on the same bike.

They are all great bikes. Have you considered used? You can check out Pink Bike Buy/Sell market and see what's out there. You might be able to find a used XL to throw a leg over and test ride.

more important question: what's your timeframe, and are any of those bikes available at all right now? most bike shops are sold out of a lot of stuff.

I would say if you are looking at the chameleon, take a hard look at the salsa timberjack. Very similar bike to it geometry wise and you can probably find one

Negative on availability. Iíve waited this long so if need be I can hold out. Iíd prefer to at least ride around a parking lot if possible before purchasing.

Yes, Iíve heard that about the Chameleon. In fact Iím trying to see why itís almost $500 more than the fuse and Roscoe 7 but people seem to love it.

Looks like I found a Fuse Comp 29. I'm pretty pumped considering there is nothing out there in an XL by me. I was going back n forth between this and the chameleon, still am, but looks like the Fuse might be mine next week. Sucks I was not able to drive or even check out either before pulling the trigger, but we are in odd times. Thanks again for all the advice.
