    Road Bike for Commuting/Crosstraining

I am looking to buy a road bike for the summer months so that I can get around town and have some fun when I cant get on the trails. Running is getting pretty monotonous, so I think this bike will supplement some of that. Also, it might make me a better mountain biker...maybe.

I consider myself a mountain biker first, so I dont want to spend more money on a road bike than i have in my hardtail. At my LBS, Im looking at a Fisher AR Super. Its on clearance..

Anyone have any suggestions as to what specs I should look for? My only priority: drop bars. I think theyre quite sexy.

    Thanks..

Road bike fit is critical , make sure its a good fit . The AR is a solid entry level ride , it does have a fairly steep head tube angle , if your not used to such angles it could seem to be pretty twitchy .
