Post here when your bike is at your LBS

Just a thread to post when your bike is at your LBS for

    1) Tune ups
    2) Warranty work
    3) Build up
    4) Rebuild
    5) etc...

but you want to ride, cause the autumn/spring/winter/summer weather is amazing

    * Note: for those that are fortunate enough to have the time/tools/knowledge on how to work on your own bikes, we love you guys/gals...but that's not the purpose of those thread.

    My bike:

    2) Warranty work: Sram Code R brakes in for warranty for non-returning pistons

My dog is at the vet. I think he ate some weed. He kept staring at his paws and laughing so I figured I bring him in.

    ahahaha

Clearly I posted this in the wrong section. It amuses me how quickly some of the sr. members feel the need to belittle users when then "make a mistake"

Whenever I determine that the time it would take me to do the work is worth more than that money I would pay the shop. That varies with how much free time I have, how much time I have spent away from home, etc...

I feel the same away about car maintenance, home improvements, landscaping, sewing, and just about anything I can subcontract in my professional life. It's kinda how the world works.

What's up with SRAM? I had XO Avids that did the same thing. From what I see, they're pieces of junk.

This thread should be moved to the 'Passionate about SRAM brakes being junk' forum.

I have had three sets of SRAM Guides with no issues, but they definitely have some QC issues... Their warranty is solid though, usually people get upgrades (but not to Shimanos. )

I bet I haven't left a bike at the shop in the last 10 years. Sometimes I'll go in and use a tool or something, but I never have to leave my stuff there.

FWIW I've run 6 sets of Avid hydros over the years with no issues...never even needed a bleed and never a problem with noise.

I actually argued with myself as to whether I should even post here, but I actually feel bad for anyone who is without a bike.

So, my $0.02 is to take the malfunctioning brakes to the LBS while you install working brakes on your bike. Either way, the crap brakes will get replaced, but then you'll have a spare set to either re-sell, or install on another bike that no longer deserves SRAM Code R brakes.

I will never leave an entire bike at the LBS, and now that I'm beyond n+1 I have no reason to.
