    OT: Here's the cock-

Ah-hem... Here's the peacock that I posted about last week. I thought it was a wild turkey or some kind of pheasant, never thought it could have been a peacock.

It loitered around my house for most the week, peering in each and every window and then it went away. It might have been taken by the mspca, but I'm not sure.

The thing would go to our window and scream for an hour and a half, starting at 4:30am.

    I'm pretty glad it's gone.

it actually looks more like a peahen (or a pea**** ). i grew up with at one point around fifty peacocks and peahens. They would crow every morning in the trees up above my house. they also drop some pretty big craps for birds. i'd have to say i stepped in hundreds if not thousands of turds growing up.

is a close relative to the pheasant.

my old place of employment was near a place that kept a few peacocks as pets. they'd wander around the park that was on our common border. we had a workshop that opened up to the parking lot that bordered the park. once, one peacock nonchalantly walked right into the workshop and started checking things out. scared the beejesus out of a few of us who walked blindly around a corner and saw it standing in the middle of our shop!
