    Sorry, missed this sticky

1.) Where you are from? (as specific as you care to share)

    Long Island, NY

2.) What kind of rider do you consider yourself? (ex: beginner, weekend warrior, all mtn/trail rider, XC racer, downhiller, singlespeeder, 29er rider, etc...)

Old timer, roadie as well but took up mt. biking first. Slowed down over 30 years of riding, donít take as many chances these days, tired of getting hurt.

3.) How many bikes you own?
5 currently running, Carbon road, steel road, steel tourer, steel hard tail, full suspension

4.) How long have you been riding?
    30 years

5.) What forums do you frequent most? (either here or on other sites)

    SB

ADDENDUM: DO NOT TRY TO PAD YOUR POST COUNT HERE! THEY WILL BE DELETED AND YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INFRACTION! NO TESTING EITHER. It's really not that hard to find 5 already existing threads to reply to.

Also of Note: Due to the high volume of Spammers trying to flood the site with fake posts all new users are required to post at least 10 replies to threads BEFORE you can start a new thread that includes Links to other web pages (including other mtbr pages) or links to photos. Once your post count is above 10 then you can begin to do this. - Klurejr[/QUOTE]

I have been a member and a lurker since 2013. I guess I am getting serious...

*I'm from Windsor CT and Myrtle Beach SC.

*I have a big collection of vintage mountain bikes from the mid to late '80s. I love road riding and Klunkers too. My pride and joy road bike is my Eddy Merckx built specifically for me.

    * I have been riding bikes since 1977. I really became passionate about cycling when I purchased a brand new 1987 Raleigh Elkhorn which I still have.

    * My kids are into cycling and we are passionate about bicycling advocacy. We like to volunteer at our local bicycle co-op.

*I'm also a TDF junkie and have been actively watching every summer since 1985.

*Always looking for friends to ride with and other collectors to trade and sell.

Hi, I am CJ and a software engineer, entrepreneur, most importantly an average and passionate biker. I have always had a passion and intensive love for bikes since my young age. I see them as a means to have extreme fun while keeping fit and healthy at the same time.

I have just joined this forum because of my interest to exchange knowledge with all the members of this forum.

This is my first ever post in this forum to introduce myself.

    Thanks and best regards,
    CJ Luo

    Hey all,
I started hurling myself down mine dumps on steel framed disasters with toeclips before suspension forks worked and when everyone still thought GripShift was great. Now I am 38 and trying to get back in condition. I am mainly interested in XC type cycling. With two children and two sideshows, priorities limit me to my 2000 stumpy pro fsr-xc (26er, V-brakes, tubes, 80mm, spds) - which I love dearly since 2009. The best bike is the one you have.
3 years ago I quit corporate life in Switzerland and started one sideshow which involved settling a piece of land (Ī1km^2, hills, rocks, river and a LOT of wildlife) in South Africa - where I am from, so I guess as much as for cycling tips I joined the forum to help me build better trails and get motivation for the next day's ride.
I am blissfully uninformed regarding all new stuff mtbs, I only learnt that DH is a thing and that the bikes are different in 2011 when a mate and me decided to hurl our XC bikes down Hoch-Ybrig in Switzerland - please help me improve this.
I look forward to learn and hopefully contribute to the forums. Thanks.

Cool-blue Rhythm Community Manager @ Trek Bikes

Hey MTBR! I figured it would be a good time to introduce myself here. My name is Mitchell and I am the Community Manager over at Trek Bikes. Joined this forum to help those with any Trek or Bontrager Qs that may arise (drop them in the Trek subforum so I spot them easier or throw it in the title). Look forward to being involved here!

    1. Where you are from?

Canadian born. Now living in Wisconsin!

    2. What kind of rider do you consider yourself

A weekend warrior and lunch break hero (we all ride during lunch when it's not too cold out).

    3. How many bikes you own

I have a few bikes, but I cherish my Stache (not my mustache if you 'must ash-k').

    4. How long have you been riding

I'd say about 15 years now. I really got heavy into it about 10 years ago though.
