MTB saddle more padding than your road bike saddle?

Or the same? I have the romain evo pro on all of my road bikes and I had it put on my epic.....my flash has a little more padding (toupe plus) and that got me thinking. More padding for your MTB saddle?

It really depends on whether your ass is broken in for a thinly padded seat. If you're used to a road bike seat then you'll be fine with a similarly padded seat on your MTB.

I just use either a WTB Rocket V or Brooks B17 on all my bikes, regardless of road or mountain.

I also use the same saddle on all of my bikes. When you find one
that fits your ass stick with it.

same on all my bikes (mtb, cross and road) at the moment, if anything I could justify a softer saddle on the road bike
What exactly is a rigid hard tail?

I find on my MTB bikes I can run anything. Out of the saddle so much in MTBing, I find my butt never bothers me. On my rail trail bike I need a decent saddle.

Both of my seats are similarly padded which is rather thin. In the end run what is comfortable to you. For me road bike seats are more critical since the way you sit in them is different. I have had to spend a lot more time dialing in my road bike seat.
