    Manitou Black vs Manitou Splice?

The guy at REI wasn't sure if the Splice was a replacement for the Black or what. Is the the Black a better fork? Is it heavier?

alright, maybe a bette question is How durable are the Black Comp forks? The travel adjustment on this particulare one is a pain to get to lock down. Is that something that wears out?

Splice is not a replacement for the Black. The difference, the black is targeted towards cross-country riders that are looking for that extra little travel. Splice is a trailbike fork and is a bit heavier. I am pretty sure that there is only one splice fork and it is 4.5 pounds, heavier than any Black. More travel as well.
Kind of like playing an electric drum kit
