Learned that this was happening in school, just took place at 10 pm on the east coast. Clicked some pictures, but I know they're crap, any one have some good pictures they want to share?

It was pretty cool. I've never seen a full lunar eclipse and the conditions were perfect for viewing, except for the frigid arctic wind! I tried to get a few shots before I froze. One is wide angle (over exposed) and the other is zoom lense (little blurry).

Lot better pictures, thanks for sharing. After college a nice camera is on the list of things to get.

Yeap, started around 8:30p taking snaps about every 30min then when the fun started took snaps every 4-6min. This morning took all the pics and processed them into one file with Photoshop.

    Beautiful!
Those pics really capture the ominous looking orange-red glow. Nice work.

Dirt devil, what set up did you use? Would be interesting to know the specs/equipment.

Canon 400D (XTi) with a Tamron 70-300 4-5.6 and a Dynatran tripod. My daugther shot also with her 350D (XT) and a Canon 100-300 4.5-5.6 and got similar results but stopped early 'cause her tripod head broke and couldn't get the camera stable enough to shoot.

The pics were taken between F6 and F11, 1/40 - 1/60, ISO 100; changed to ISO 200 when the moon started to turn red.
