    Lower neck/ upper shoulder pain

On rides greater the 15 miles I'm getting pain just below the base of the neck in the shoulders. THis seems to suggest my reach is too long to the bars? My saddle is only about 2 inches below my bars, so I don't think the drop is an issue. On a Niner, I have a pretty long top tube and my stem length is 110mm with Niner flat top =bars with a 9 degree rearward sweep.
Think I should try a 100mm or 90mm stem? Or is it something else?

Maybe try and start off by shortening the stem to a 90mm or so. If that isn't enough, go with a bar that has a bit of rise on it.
