    disc brake tabs

    Is it possible to add disc brake tabs to a ti frame?I have a older moots that I would like to try disc on.If so any suggestions for a welder.Thanks

    Sure it's possible. Why not call Moots and talk it over? Maybe the stays they used were not up to the stresses of DB. It's got to be a bike tubing Ti welder who does it for you anyway. If they do it, they can re-furb the whole frame at the same time and it will look original.

    How about one of those disk brake adaptor devices? There are a couple different designs that can be found out on the web.

    On ebay, if you type in disc brake adapter or converter, you'll find some for around $50.

    I looked in to those, some people have had problems with the type that attaches to the brake posts...sometime the posts break .....instead of brake

    I decided to run a disc in front and stick with a rim brake in the back. Just got a new wheel and brake, installing this weekend!
