Recently have done a complete overhaul of my 2014 lapierre zesty, it had had a pretty hard life and not one bearing avoided the bin.
Whilst stripped back thought it would be a good idea to freshen it up and give it a new look.
Instead of just going for a standard one or two colour scheme thought it would be cool to try imitate some of the patterns that are some of the high end custom guys are doing.
Has anyone had any experience using vinyl as stencils on alloy frames? If so did you come up with them yourselves or are there commercial options available that people are using? What is everyone else doing to customise their frames?
I've played around with vinyl camouflage, but there are 1000s of graphics out there. They stay on, even without any prep beyond basic cleaning, and they are removable if you get sick of it. It's a good bit of cutting and trimming, though. It suits me though because I have neither the patience nor the skill to do anything cool with paint.
Just saying you need to change the title of this thread from “custom frame” to “custom paint”. For a minute there I thought you were looking to cut weld, cut weld, cut weld and end up with something like this.
