Very 80s. Put some white in there and you've got the 80s nailed.

Damn, That looks a lot like the blue ano on an old 90's mtb my sister has (and I fully intend to buy from her)

If they would come put with a limited addition silent hub, I would buy more than a few.

^ Actually, I was thinking more of Oakley razor blades with the turquoise frame and white ear pieces.

I just got a CK hub with a new wheel set. At a certain speed it sounds just like a swarm of yellow jackets.

Yes, and they always have...and it's always been the number 1 reason why people return them, sell them, or don't buy them in the first place.

    Please guys, silence is golden.

Keep pedaling if you like silence. While I don't own a CK hub, I'm more than happy with the buzz from my I9 and WI on my single speeds.

I don't find my geared King hubs to be very loud. Pretty quiet when compared to I9 or Hope -- and also more of a pleasant sound, IMO. King SS hubs are quite a bit louder than the geared.

It's maybe a little more than half the width of the geared King driveshell.

Haha...we have rides here with 3-4000 feet of (almost) no pedaling, and occasionally I ride 11,000 foot descents with very little pedaling...trust me, you wouldn't want to!

And, yes, the King SS is dishless. I don't know how many gears you could fit. I've set up a Hope with 6, so I would assume that you cram at least 5 on it.

Someone needs to tell all these ebay bidders to stop bidding on them.. The used hubs keep going for $300!

    What? I can't hear you!

(I guess you missed the part where I would buy more than a few if they weren't so rickety)
