    Actual spring weather

April cannot be called spring because there are too much snow on the ground.

May is the proper month for spring

Rain rain rain here in the Salt Lake Valley. We've had warm enough weather to green the grass and blossom the trees but the mountains are still getting hammered with snow.

*Looks outside* Flowers blooming. Temp swings from mid-30's F to upper 70's F (just today). Plenty of rain over the weekend. Blue skies and bright sunshine. Trees turning green. Birds singing. Neighbors mowing their grass. Kids playing outside.

Nope. Looks and sounds like spring to me.

I just realized the OP is in Canada. So for him spring doesn't start until July

Wisconsin here. I can only hope summer falls on a weekend this year.

Friday I left green(ish) grass at home to go 2 hours north to cut firewood. I started to drive in to the cottage to find this:

    Actual spring weather-img_3507.jpg

Snow on the ground and the lake is across the driveway...

Wood got cut, split and stacked, but no spring food plots put in.

It's been right on time here. Everything is green again, fully leafed out.

On the flip side - It will start to feel like summer here within a few weeks, and run through October. Hot and humid, sweatyballs.

Also, there are multiple ways to determine "spring" (or any seasonal change, really).

Difference between "astronomical spring" and "meteorological spring"

    https://www.weatherbug.com/news/When-Does-Spring-Begin

    https://www.farmersalmanac.com/when-spring-2497

Also, astronomy will determine when certain seasonal changes are actually felt.

    We hit 83

Of course the next day we had a blizzard with an 8 snow dump and 60MPH gusts. Then the next day it was 60 again.

Hello anyone that doesn't live in the PNWet!
You think you know what rain is... but really, you don't.

    That is all.
