2018 Santa Cruz 5010 vs 2019 Jeffsy CF pro race 27.5

Style: trail, I am not an aggressive downhill rider
    frequency : 3/week
my previous bike Marin Mount Vision Pro XO1 eagle
I have a hard time deciding between these 2 bikes
they are both carbon including the wheels, Santa Cruz 5010 with : SRAM XO1 eagle, lighter at 26.3 lbs, but not as sharp looking and I am under the impression from different reviews that VPP system is a bit rough? Also it is the 2018 model found it for about $100 cheaper the CF pro race.

Jeffsy CF pro race with XTR, sharp looking machine , comes in a bit heavier at slightly over 28 lbs for a medium and less desirable 11 speed 46 T

    would welcome any advice

The 5010 is solidly in the trail bike category. The Jeffsy Pro Race is more AM/Enduro. 160mm of travel is more than I want for undulating normal trails. Honestly I wouldn't buy the Jeffsy no matter what because head angle is a bit steeper than what I want for the riding I'd buy a 160mm bike for.

The VPP isn't rough but it's not as active as some like for climbing. Shock setup/tune makes a big difference here. The 5010 will make a better trail bike in my opinion.

Definitely the 5010. Super fun setup and will be much more versatile.
