    2010 FLY 100 vs 2011 FLY 100 Elite

Besides the addition of 2x10 drive train what is different about these two bikes?

wheels appear to be the same, shock is the same, fork is the same

2011 has carbon bars 2010 does not.

what else? any difference in the frame?

That issue was resolved back in late June. The frameset for the 100 and the 100 elite is identical.

Don't buy the 2010 if it is not new from a Trek dealer - you may never need the warranty, but if you do, you won't get it with a used one. And the Trek/Fisher warranty is awesome.

If you get the 2010, you get the last of the Fisher brand bikes and a lifetime warranty on the whole frame. I really liked the looks of the 2010 I just lost through a crack too - I guess the worst that can happen is Trek will give you a new 2011 frame if your 2010 is from the batch that cracked.

My 2011 warranty replacement is a differently beautiful bike, and a stellar ride like my 2010. I like it with my white 2010 fork just fine, and the 2010 3x9 is still my preferred drive train. The wheels did change for 2011, with the FCC taller flanges - I bet I would like those.

So - if you get the warranty, the 2010. If not, the 2011 will be a fine bike.

    +1 to what moval49er said.
I'm in the same boat with a 2011 warranty for my cracked 2010, 9spd suits me fine since I have a stocked spares box for 9spd ( this may not be an issue for others )
the white fork looks great too.

durability on the new frame seems good too as I just had a huge crash on mine today, no damage though ( phew! )

Just got the call from my LBS, my 2011 Superfly 100 elite has arrived. Now all I need is 2 or 3 months for all this snow to melt.

I went a slightly different route. Apparently my LBS is very cool, and I was able to upgrade my SF100 to where I really liked it by trading in the stock parts (and getting credit) and purchasing from them what I wanted.

    X9 shifters to XT
    X9 rear d to XT
Shimano 3x crank to SRAM 2x
    Wheels to ZTR Arches
Changed out bar/stem to my size

Total win, as I get the most credit for my parts since they are unused and I don't have to sell stuff on ebay and try to buy new parts. With all those changes, I ended up basically breaking even compared to buying an off the shelf SF100

I wish you had the option of picking the color fork you want. I love a SF 100 with a black fork.
