New question here. 2014 Fuji SLM 29 2.5 good bang for the buck or low quality bike?

I just came across a Brand New 2014 Fuji SLM 29 2.5 being sold for $1200, is this just a good low price or is the bike going to break within the first couple of months. I would be using the bike for XC riding mainly. Current bike is a 2016 Specialized Rockhopper Expert 29, is it a good component upgrade?

Fuji is legit, thats a good price. Inspect it for any frame damage (from crashes). That's a good price, if it's the right size for u then snatch it up...

I wish i could score a carbon rig for that kinda money!

Fuji makes excellent frames and Manitou makes excellent forks, so it's a great deal.

The only three components I would change immediately would be an M786 Shadow+ rear derailleur, Ergon grips and Ergon SMC4 saddle.

The brakes are kind of cheap, so if you have trouble with them, get some Shimano XT.
