Please help me understand geometry equivalence

This might seem silly to y'all experienced builders, but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that brands like Kona can come up with frames like the Wozo with a TT length of 630mm and call it a medium, whereas Ventana has el Gordo with a TT length of 588mm.

What should I pay attention to? Is it the ST angle, HT length? Is it the fact that the Kona uses a larger diameter tire front vs. back? Please help me understand a bit of frame design.

We use front center to understand bikes. Stack and reach to see if we can fit a cockpit. and seat tube length to know if we can fit a dropper.

Top tube length doesn't mean anything.

if you dig on this thread and others you will find a wealth of info on geometry. pinkbike has had a couple decent articles as well. This has been said by others here as well . You can't just look at the frame from one length or angle it is all the dimensions that will make up the bikes characteristics.

if you compare each of the given dims of those bikes they are different at the st&ht angles, bb drop, fork lenght, HT lenght and so on. Every bike company or frame builder is using dims to achieve a certain goal for what the bike will be like once finish. It is hard to say which is right if the end goals are different. Keep digging for info on characteristics and effects of geometry. Use the free bikecad version and start plugging in bike companies geos or your own with all the dimension on screen and you can see why one TT lenght , reach, stack , ht lenght ,angles , bb drop will make a difference.
