Hey found this down by the BB on the chainstay arm of my carbon mtb. there is no detectable flex as far as I can tell, any thoughts from just the picture?
I would not trust any internet responses with something like this. First clean the dirt off then take it to the bike shop where you purchased the bike to have them look at it.
I dont know much about carbon, or paint for that matter, but i would think that any crack in the paint in that area would be the result of a crack in the frame.

Tap around the area with a blunt metal object ( a steel slide rule works well) if the pitch changes notable it's definitely broken. If it keeps the same tone through out the area in question it's OK. Taking it to your LBS is definitely a good idea regardless of the results of the 'tap test'
And like FE bikes said, anybody that wants to speculate as to the condition of that frame is just speculating.
Looks like a superfly 100 frame... if that is the case the shop I go to has had many of them crack in the same spot on the swingarm... however like everyone else said - take it to the shop and have them look at it - I am just speculating!
