My first frame build, CF hardtail trail frame

    Hi All.
I'm thinking about building my first carbon fibre frame and after looking for some inspiration, I found this forum with lots of info.
The plan is to build a hardtail frame suitable for a 120mm fork. Long top tube, slack headtube, low standover height. Suitable for 27.5 and 29er wheels.
I'm not totally new to working with carbon fibre, I repaired several frames, which are still alive. And I worked on this project for a few years. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKEbkNAB...n-by=hzwijgers
But I believe making a frame from scratch will still be quite a challenge.
At the moment I just started designing the frame in CAD, But I still have to make up my mind if I'm gonna use a foam core or negative mould, vacuum bag or bladder etc.
I hope you guys can share some experience and I'll keep this story updated.

So, OK you have lots of skill. Confidence lacking? Give it a go. I am subscribed. I really enjoy seeing how other people work their skills and ideas out and this is a foreign material to me so I look forward to seeing you progress.

    Welcome by the way.

    Eric
If I don't make an attempt, how will I know if it will work?
