    Bent seat and down tubes

I'm working on a a mountain bike frame and really struggling to wrap my head around the math to determine the angles of my miter for the headtube and how to account for the bent seat tube with the bend close to the bb. Anyone have any tips or tricks they'd like to share?

I am using a combination of a tube notcher and hand files to do the miters but at this point to save another downtube I will do them completely by hand.

Tube blocks at each end of the tube to phase while filing or coping in the mill, use a digital angle finder like a cheap Wixey to get the angle difference between the tubes.
Simpler and less accurate would be to eye it from the side and draw a line with a sharpie on the side of the tube.
BikeCAD is indispensable for the money, and I think there’s a free web version to try out.

I am using the pro version of bikecad. It hasn't failed me until now and honestly I am sure it's user error. I am just wondering if anyone knows the math to figure these out. I don't want to blindly follow a computer without knowing the how's and why's.
