    Wire Peak

    Is there ant plans for a carbon Wire Peak?

    I haven't heard anything but I'm not really "in the know". It would be pretty sick although I'm not sure how much weight savings you'd really gain for the dollar spent. I'm sure they would sell though. I'd probably stick with aluminum for durability during a hard crash but I'm a hack so..... lol

    Molds cost money and are hard to change, so it would only make sense of they were selling a bunch of them. It's still a small market, I suspect they won't offer carbon in the short term, in part because the e systems are changing and it won't be long before smaller and lighter systems become available.

    The Aluminum frame at most adds 5% or 2# to the bike's weight. A carbon frame would add $1000 to the cost. Is it worth that much to you?

    Yeah I hear ya on the small Co. I ride a Knolly. I just like the carbon for the pimp factor. lol

    Yeah, they're nice but at double the cost of a WP. So to answer the question, yes an extra grand above the alloy WP it's a bargain. And dont be too sure that the Fezzari boys aren't hard at work behind the scenes designing that elusive carbon madel.
