    La Sal Peak as 27.5

Anyone try their LSP as 27.5 bike? Ive ridden mine as a 29er since Ive gotten it but thinkingnof giving 27.5 a try. Im on a size small and with 29er wheels the stand over height is a bit tight and the bike isnt the easiest to through around. I imagine the 27.5 wheels would make it more nimble and lower the center of gravity a little. How does the geo work for a 27.5 rig? Any tips for setting up the suspension to work best?

I've run my large LSP in 27.5+ mode, in the "high" position. Its OK, but I went to 29 in the front to get more height out of the front end. 27 is considerably lower than 29, but you are on a small frame. It might work, but I wouldn't rush out and buy wheels - borrow a set from someone and make some laps and see what you think. It could be a hoot for park days, but might be a nightmare for normal riding - too low a bb. What length crank are you running?
I would advise not taking my advice.

Ive always felt the LSP was high but balanced as a 29er. Only trouble was if i jumped off the seet the top tube would give me a kick in the nuts. I was plannimg to use the bike in "low" mode as a 27.5, so it would be a half degree slacker for HT and ST angles. Im using 170mm cranks. Pedal stikes would be an issue but thats the case with most 27.5 bikes

I just saw this. I think I would really like a mullet mode, running 27.5 in the rear in the high position. I dont think that would be too low?

also. I noticed new bikes on their sites now have 170mm forks, used to be 160mm right?
