    Winter bike expo/Minneapolis

Today I was reminded about the Freewheel cycles Winter bike expo happening on 12-3-11. Link. I look forward to the Arrowhead 135 talk and a chance to ride a variety of fat bikes. They could not guarantee it but suggested a moonlander may be present to test ride.

Looks like I'll conveniently be in Minneapolis that day, I'll have to stop by and check it out.

Since we won't have a ton of snow for the race we are building some wooden obstacles to ride. We are working on some more too.

Sounds equally ridiculous and informative, don't think I'll be able to pass it up.

We've mapped out a course on the dirt side of the trail. Using the underside of the bridges, a bit of the trench incline, and some man made obstructions. It might be better to think of it as a cross between bmx, cyclocross (no running though), and trials riding. We'll have most of the course set up for test rides that day too so come early to see it in the day light.

You can see some of the action on the Freewheel Bike Facebook page. We will try to post video of the seminars later.

I also really appreciate the chance to ride a moonlander. I enjoyed all aspects of the event I attended. The talk about the Arrowhead 135 was great. People interested in winter cycling and fat bikes specifically are a diverse, low key and friendly bunch I feel proud to be a part of.
