Trail - MTB - Rooty terrain rocks etc - I find the big 4.8 tires hard to push

4.8s are hard to push...because they are 4.8
I tried a lot of Bfat tires in New England rocks and roots.
My go to is the Hodag

So we've established they're not for snow, that's a start. What kind of tires work well for your trails? Do you need reinforced sidewalls because of sharp rocks? Do you like/need big meaty knobs for traction? Low profile for lower rolling resistance? What size rims? What bike? How much do you weigh?

The best 27.5x4" tire? I like the VH. And I live and ride in the same area as the OP.

I listened to Mikesee and went Hodag. Northeast rock and use them on hard dirt with my kids. Even some pavement.

    225lbs and these are on a 16 Farley 5.

Not a single complaint. Running tubeless on Duroc rim.

Hodags a nice tire. Fast but grippy, work good on snow and wet roots. I got some minions and they sucked on snow but im hoping they will be on dirt
