    Wampa Wheel issue.

Has anyone experienced a leaky valve stem on the Carbon Wampas? I have a leak at the valve stem. I hand tighten the small nut but still leaks. Im set up tubeless. I replaced the valve stem and cleaned the inside and outside of the wheel to make sure there were no Stan's buggers, and still leaks. I guess the next step is to re-tape the wheel. Anyone else have issues like this? I have a tube in the wheel, but I swear the tube weighs almost 2lbs. BK

Replace the tape. Don't *poke* a hole for the valve stem, *melt* it through. I use an old spoke and a cigarette lighter. How you arrive at a hot pointy piece of metal is irrelevant -- just be sure the hole you melt though the tape is uniform.

I threw in a Stans valve stem and issue went away. I cracked the Wampa last night, not happy. BK
