    UK Fatties

Anyone up for an attempt on Snowdon, in the snow ?, its an idea thats been in my head for a while now, its also an idea I have for an article in STW (one that I did ten years ago for STW but on regular MTB's)

The basic premise is to recreate what we did years ago, drive up overnight, set off from Llanberis at 5am follwoing the tourist route (I really dont fancy dragging a fatty over Crib Goch) with a view to getting to the summit as day breaks, enjoy a wee dram/coffee at the top and then head back down to hit Pete's Eats for a full blown greasy fry up :-)

Last time we did it in late January, had a few hairy moments with the snow and ice, and of course it was about -10c, it was pretty epic and sealed a band of friends together for the last ten years.

Later that day we could hit a nearby beach for some sand to contrast the snow, thats kind of the theme that I'm working on :-)

Its going to happen about the same time of year so just giving you guys a head up.

    Anyone ?

I will be basing out of London and doing a series of Micro Adventures throughout the region, from expedition kayaking, to skiing, to bike touring. Still trying to decide if I will bring over a Fat Tire bike or not, but will definitely have my Fargo with me.

Yes, I will be joining up with an Expedition Partner for 2012, something a bit different from my current solo expeditions. More on my adventures at my website wabisabiyourlife dot com

At 19st I have plenty to haul up that hill, let alone my pugsley. This sounds serious fun (have ridden that path 5 times) so know what's coming, let's bivi at the top?

Sounds like a Birthday challenge to me (27th Jan)

If I can get out of North Yorkshire I would be keen to give this a go, can't really be that bad can it...
