Trek Farley 9.8 vs Specialized S-Works Fatboy...????

Been riding a Farley 9.8 and love it. Bought the 9.8 for the weight and racing in mind.
Have a line on a very nice S-Works fatboy.

Anyone ridden both and can compare?
I really love the mountain bike/race feel of the Farley and believe the Fatboy is similar.

Need to pull the trigger fast, so any advice is appreciated.

Also planning on 29+ with Bluto for summer as well.

    Thanks
    matt

So you bought a bike that you love, but now you are thinking of trading it for something else? Why? I'd stick with what you've got. Here in Canada the S-Works is about $3000 more and it doesn't look any better equipped.

Unless you are getting a screaming deal on the S-works- Why not just buy a nice set of 26" wheels for the 9.8? Despite being carbon, the stock 9.8 Wampa wheels are in the 2500gr range so you could shave some rotational mass and add some versatility with the 26" hoops.

If a "nice set" of 26" wheels are the heds, then I am money ahead with the s works price I am getting.
    Appreciate the feedback though.

I can't help you out with a comparison, and I can't imagine that there are many out there that could. (maybe seek out a fatbike shoot out article). But what I can tell you as a current owner of the SWorks, Its an amazing bike. I had last years SL (alloy) with the same build minus thru axles. The new SWorks geometry is spot on, like I was jumping on it in the fall instead of my epic. The HED rims are improved this year and seal up so much easier. DT hubs are top notch. My only gripe is with the brakes, they work amazing but I have personal beef with SRAM /Avid brakes and took them off at purchase. Bottom line its a great handling, stiff but compliant "race" feeling fat bike that carves like its on rails.

There was a nice sworks fatboy on the Facebook group fatbike trader. Forgot the size. It was a good deal for someone looking for a sworks fatboy.

So what's your opinion of the 2 bikes. Which do you like better and why?
