    Tire setup questions

I've got two questions and I might as well combine them into one thread.

I just bought a fatbike with bud and lou's. So I deflated the tires and pulled them off to change my rimstrip to something a little bit more fun. I got the tires back on okay and inflated the tube back up. My question though is around a small amount of my tire the bead hasn't fit back in. No matter how much I try to work at it with my hands i can't get it to bump back into place. What do I do here? Do I just keep inflating the tube until it fully goes in and then let out the pressure? I haven't bought a pressure gauge yet so I really don't know what i'm at right now. I've been going off of feeling.

    Second question
I bought my bike used and I found that my rear tire has a small hole in it. With a tube it's fine but I've been wanting to try and run a tubeless setup. Is it even worth attempting with the small hole or would I need to buy a new tire? I'm not very familiar with how stanz and other tire sealants work or how well they seal up holes.

Sometimes I can pump the tire enough to seat.. I can hear it snap in.. Other times I have to roll it around on the concrete for a bit. About the hole, thats what the sealant is for. You could patch it from the inside though.

Is this a common issue, small holes in tires?
Since I have never set up a tire as tubeless, my tires could have had small holes and I guess I would have never noticed it.

    Re: Tire setup questions

Get in the habit of lubing the bead. Soapy water, windex, Uncle Dick's bead lube, etc.

    They'll pop right on.

I don't think anyone can tell you if Stans can plug a 'small' hole. I think a photo and /or a measurement is in order.
