awesome to see the fat-bikes only clause, soon it might be time to say, min 82mm rims, see too many pugsleys auger in soft snow

I'm hoping that some colder winter weather blows in to stave off this being a slush fest. It's been too warm all week, and the Fatbike isn't much fun in 4-5 inches of slush.

Well, my average speed is creeping north of 6 mph this season so I'm happy to not screw it up any worse on bullet proof groomers.
I'll bring the cheese if that helps, see you guys there!

My wish came true, and winter returned to make this race a fun winter throw down. Local fast guy Brad, from Eriksen cycles did a great job setting pace in 3-4 inches of fresh snow, while the rest of the pack scrambled to hold his wheel. At times it was a crazy drafting road style race, if you stayed on Brad's wheel, and in his track, you could almost hang on, but when conditions, or fitness faltered and you fell off the line, the soft snow would slow you and force you to the back of the pack. The good news was once dropped, the trail improved as more riders packed down the trail, so bridging back up was easier. The front group stayed together mostly until the final climb, with different riders taking turns at the front (behind Brad), but on the last climb Brad's power drew him off the front to stay.

We got a beer and burgers in the lodge, and the funny awards where the Eriksen crew of Brad, and Katie, the men's and women's winners, both won shirts, and water bottles from Moots. Haha.

The promoter and Catamount ski touring center are conspiring to put together a series for next year. They did a great job last night, and next year will only get better.
