    Saddle Help

Anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable saddle for my pug? I'm on my 4th one; a uber expensive selle italia racing saddle, a bontranger with lotsa padding, a really fat padded touring seat, and the last is a stock seat from a mukluk. The Mukluk is the best so far but still after an hour or so its pretty painful, even with a thudbuster. I've been toying with giving a Brooks a go- do they really live up to the hype? Worth the $$?

Saddles are a matter of personal preference. Whether or not it's on a fatbike makes no difference.
What do you like on your other bike(s)? Your answer is probably there.
I would suggest avoiding heavily padded saddles. They end up hurting if you spend significant time on them. They literally rub you the wrong way.
I love my Brooks B17; it's worth every penny, though I only run it on my fendered road cruiser. I stick with plastic saddles on any of my bikes that see trail use. If one gets wet, dirty or torn, no problem. For my purposes, a Brooks is "too nice" to risk getting wet or dirty. Others will certainly disagree.
For trails, I like WTB SST's. Three of my bikes have one. In my experience, they're cheap and comfy- for a plastic saddle. I don't necessarily recommend it, since you and I have different anatomies, though I will say that it is a saddle worth trying if you haven't found "your" saddle yet.
    Good luck.

The pugs is all I've got-can't see a reason for anything else- its about as versatile a bike as I could want. I ride it everywhere, I'd never get off it if I could find a decent seat!

What saddles have been comfortable in the past?

You have to find one that works for you.

I like models others think are torture devices and vice versa.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
