RWC 30mm Fat Bike Bottom Bracket 100mm bb questions

Ordered my RWC 30mm fat bike bottom bracket today to go on my Mayor (100mm BB) to replace the creaky AF Race Face unit that came installed with my RF Turbine Cinch crankset. Parts should be here Monday. Just wondering if there is anything I need to know about the install that isn't going to be straightforward?

I've read others mention the RWC cups are narrower, so it has to be spaced slightly different than the stock RF unit, but nobody ever clarified in any thread I read what that meant. If anyone has any insight that might prove useful, I'd greatly appreciate it. I really just want this to go smoothly and get back to riding without much hassle ASAP.

I have all the tools needed, also purchased some .5mm 30mm spindle spacers, JIC.

    Thanks

Not sure which flavor of this bb you bought, as you didn't specify.

I got the RWC BB86/92 to 30mm one, and it's the same width as the RF one it replaced. Flanged bearings press straight into the frame.

Did you get the BSA (threaded) one? If so, I hear it is a touch narrower, also. The extra spindle spacers should be just the ticket to allow you go get it spaced correctly.

If its a threaded BB I would have a good shop chase and face the bottom bracket. I do this on all my bikes to help reduce issues from manufacturing tolerance. Grease the threads really well, even use plumbers tape if creaking still persists after install.

The kit says it's got spacers. You could have just ordered the bearings and used the RF cups.
It doesn't matter what I ride as long as I ride it Rubber Side Down●~●.

I could have, but for the price of bearings and bearing puller/installer it was cheaper to order a complete bottom bracket. Also I can always keep the current cups and eventually install new bearings later when it's more cost effective. Appreciate the suggestion though.
