Hey,
I'm relacing my front wheel with a Lefty hub and will be going from symmetrical lacing to drive-side offset lacing. The rim is a Rolling Darryl.
My question is, the rim strip has obvious dimples from the nipples alternating all along the rim. Going to offset lacing, the nipples will only be on one side. So on the other side where that dimple is, will no longer be supported by a nipple.
Now I know this is a weird question, but will this be more prone to losing air? I run tubeless, and I recall someone saying once that their rim strip wasn't lined up perfectly with the cutouts in their rim, and where the crease was in the strip blew out.
Would you reuse this strip?
Thanks!
