    Reality check...

I was at the grocery store this weekend, wearing my "I bike Snow" tshirt.

One of the guys who's been working at the grocery long enough for me to recognize sees me, sees my shirt and says "Oh, man, you bike snow? Me too- all winter!"

I said, "cool!" and walked out of the store and suddenly realized that he rides all winter because he doesn't have a car. And that the crappy mountain bike that's always in the rack at the store is his, and that he's probably put more mile on that lowly POS than I ever will on my super fat tire wonderbike...

I kinda felt like going back in and giving him my t-shirt. Wanted to tell him- "here, you've actually earned this."

I know the feeling. That is why i have the belief "if you ride a bicycle, unicycle, tricycle you are my friend."

Its situations like that that make me grateful for what I have. I dont have to ride in the snow if I dont want. I drive a brand new truck, I have a nice home, I have an awesome well paying job with great benifits and Im single with 2 girlfriends whom buy me everything and I just bought a brand new Superfly Elite. Sure I have bills and live paycheck to paycheck but thats ok.

Better yet I bet between all the regulars in this place could just send in parts they have sitting in their garage collecting dust.
