    Rack Mod

I don't know if any of you use Yakama Raptor roof racks but I found that with the long wheel base and the fat tires my bike wasn't really fitting. If I had the rack all the way forward the front tires was still hanging over the end.

So I bought a piece of 4" aluminum channel and using the track on the bottom of the rail with 2 round head stove bolts and I mounted the 18" piece of channel to the bottom. Now I have the length and the width I need for the fat bike. The plastic straps aren't long enough to go around the tires so a bungee does the trick. The extension can be removed in seconds for a normal bike.

I've been using Raptors for years and like that you don't have to remove the front wheel or deal with adapting to 10mm 15mm 20mm and 25mm axles.

No it never stops hurting, but if you keep at it you can go faster.
