    Pivot Les Fat Tire clearence

Been looking at the current Les Fat and it states:

27.5" wheels with a 60-90mm rim, you can fit tires from 3.8" to 4.5"

Anyone have this bike and run the larger tires?

    Thanks

Are you asking specifically about 27.5 clearance?

For posterity, on 65mm rims the 4.5 Barbegazi fit in the fork with the smallest clearance being 9/16" at top of the arch. In the rear they fit with sliders a couple clicks forward of halfway with 6-7mm of clearance at the cs arch. Clearance at sides is no problem anywhere.

Thanks, just what I needed. Now, I wonder if the Gnarwhal tires will fit F/B...

Those were @20psi for 10 days but unridden. I slid the rear all the way back last night to check how much clearance at max: 15mm. So the rear at max out matches the max clearance at the fork. So my guess is, yes a Gnar will fit, especially considering airing them down for snow pressure, but with studs? Another consideration is the CS length will be longer and bike slacker in general, if that matters to you. I like ride snappiness with the chainstays short as will fit, yet like the geometry feel on the bike with the sliders back, so usually end up about halfway or just shorter than that, so the Barbi's should work well hopefully.
