    New rider fatboy se questions

Hi new rider, ordering a Fatboy SE tomorrow just a few questions on some of the "weak" points.
1- front axle, should /can it be changed out to a thru type. I intend on staying rigid for the foreseeable future.
2- the rear axle/hub. Looking for a reliable option for if or when it fails. Is the hope a thru axle ? Or replacement type?
I just want to address any future issues so I can stay ahead of part failures.
I've been reading alot and those seem to be the only parts I really don't understand totally.
Brakes, pedals, I will replace. The rest of the drive train I'll look more into once I'm used too the bike more.
Any advice or info would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about the axles. They are what they are. Qr kinda suck, but your upgrade should be to get the "best" qr skewers that you can find/afford.

I remember reading a thread here about qr upgrades and there were some links to some nice ones. I'll see if I can find it.

    Edit: these are nice

EDIT: Ordered a Rsd Mayor build 1 instead, better value for what I was looking for.

There is nothing wrong with QR skewers. My fatboy is a 2014 and I haven't had any problems with them.

The rear hub on my Fatboy broke twice. Specialized took care of me. First hub was replaced with another Specialized hub at no charge. That one broke and was replaced with a Hope Fatsno at no charge.

Yep. My first 907 was a QR. I used Hope skewers and never had any problems with it.
    I like turtles
