    New 18í Trek Farley 7!

    Hey all,

First post here. Just wanted to share my new whip! Iím new to the hobby. I bought my first fat bike last year, a cheap-o Mongoose Malus. I absolutely fell in love with riding this thing. Iíve only taken it through trails and off-road a couple times but mainly use it to pull my daughters in my Thule bike trailer riding to our local parks.

I decided for 2019 that Iím going to get more active and getting this Farley 7 is my motivation. It was actually a leftover 2018 so I got it deeply discounted. Ended up at $2k OTD for it. I originally went in to buy a Farley 5 but for the extra $300, I figured Iíd be a fool to not take advantage of the discount. I LOOOVE these fat bikes and this thing is a BEAST!! I just went from a POS 90ís Chrysler with the Mongoose to a Porsche with the Trek. Only mod so far are these Race Face Chester pedals.

Yes, I do live in south Florida and obviously donít have snow but I just canít help how much I love how [email protected] these bikes look. However, I will say, riding through this soft sugar sand we have around here is a lot easier with these fat bikes.

Anyway, enough talk. Hereís a picture! Looking forward to chatting with you all!

I share your enthusiasm my Farley Brother!

I did the same back in early October for 2018 Viper Red Farley 7 ($3200 MSRP) for just $1900 (CAN$)
Upgraded from my lame first Fat Bike, a 46 pound 6 spd steel Schwinn 26" turd lol!

The Trek 19.5" with 27.5 Gnarwhals is Huge in comparison, but weighs in at 11lbs less, even with the Mastodon Fork!

I added a Bontrager 125mm Dropper post, Studded a pair of Gnarwhals for Winter (in Canada)
Picked up some Barbegazi's for Summer and added some Rock Bro's Flatty pedals so far...

Next up is a pair of Carbon Wheels (Light Bicycle) to run tubeless with the Barbs for Summer
Amazing Bike that will easily retire my old 26" Marin Trail Bike for 4 Season Fun, hands down!
