    Makwa fork.....decal removable?

Wondering if the white "compass" decal is removable.

Any decal is removable - if in fact it is a decal. Which it most likely is.
Best to just leave it alone though in these situations.

is it really that important? that compass emblem is tiny. On other things, Salsa does not tend to use decals, anyway.

I know it's small but I don't like the way it looks. I think it looks completely out of place on a bicycle.

You may dislike how it looks even more after you remove it.
If you must, use a heat gun/hair dryer and give it a whirl. Is it a clear circular decal with white printing? In other words is the decal circular, or is the compass design cut out and applied?

Pretty sure Salsa clear coats over their decals.

I haven't purchased the fork yet so don't know if it's a decal or not. I've seen pics of it removed online so I was assuming it's just a decal.

So doesn't that mean it's removable?

Not sure. Just random pics on Google images so I can't be sure it was a Makwa or a Chinese carbon fork.

My Makwa Fork does NOT have a decal. It appears to be printed on the fork itself, luckily mine is black and blends in with the carbon fiber.

You can always use properly cut vinyl to cover it if you prefer. The fork geometry and quality is worth the small cover up.

If you're looking for a plain carbon fork to put on a Surly ICT check out the suspension corrected fork from Bikes Direct. Price is good, it's light and it'd look good on a blue or black ICT frame... IMO

Some black nail polish, or, god forbid, having the fork repainted would also work if you want a particular fork that doesn't look the way you want.
