How to Get your Fatbike Home from the LBS

There's a backpack down there somewhere. Took me about 20 minutes to bike the three miles. Give me another minute, I'll put 'er together!

    You win! Game over.

Nice choice in beer as well, thanks for the reminder to get some on the way home.

How did your LBS let you take it like this? Most manufacturers require that it be build by the authorized dealer or it voids any and all warranties.

It was pretty easy to take apart so I could get it home.

I got a bike home once by just holding onto the handlebars next to my bike. I just dropped by the LBS on a bike and the new bike was there before it was scheduled to be. I was so excited I didn't want to ride home to get my car.

Mine is done and still at the LBS because of a means to haul it home. Might have to the two trip version to get it here.

Congrats on the new ride. Pics when it's built?
I usually beg my mom to drop me off so I can ride home. "Don't forget your helmet dear."

I got a call today my new Surly Pugs is ready for pickup. My wife will drop me off at the shop and I will pedal the new bike home. That's how I roll.

(Plus it's just a couple miles to my house.)

I live in Colorado but I bought my new fat bike from a shop in Minnesota. Three weeks ago Friday I got the call from the shop that my bike was ready and they were about to put it in a UPS box, and I could expect to receive it the following Wednesday or so. My wife had just started a new job in the airline industry with some cool benefits, so I asked them to box it up but hang on to it... I flew standby to MN on Saturday, picked up the bike and had it back and put together in time for a nice ride before the sun went down on Sunday.
