Well, i can tell you that based on the frame, your either going to have thru axle OR quick release skewer. They're two different things.

    The front is a 15x150

The rear is 177x12, but compatible with 170x10mm QR with the Surly adapter.

So, yes the DT RWS should work nicely, as long as you get the right size.
I don't know why,... it's just MUSS easier to pedal than the other ones.

DT RWS is not available in a wide variety of fatbike-compatible sizes. I have a 15x150mm one for my Bluto. IIRC, though, the Wednesday fork doesn't have threads built into the fork, so the thru axle needs to have a nut included with it. Surly's site doesn't mention thread pitch of the included nut/thru axle. The bike comes with the front thru axle, FWIW.

RWS does come in a 12x177, but it's sold under the Salsa name, and it's made to specifically fit the Beargrease. My Bucksaw is a 12x177, but it uses a different thread pitch than the Beargrease frame, so the RWS 12x177 thru axle won't fit. Surly doesn't mention the thread pitch of the rear axle "washers" that let you use a thru axle in the Wednesday.

Thread pitch is an absolutely essential piece of information for this query, and I think you'll have to ask Surly directly to get the answer.

I didn't realize that different manufacturers are using different threads for their forks or rear dropouts. I probably should not have assumed that would be consistent/compatible/standardized. The ASS bypasses U and lands squarely on ME.

Paragon Machine Works modifies DT Swiss RWS skewers with longer bolts. They MAY make the one you need.

I looked into it, but they still don't offer every possible option. Still can't get one that fits the rear wheel of my Bucksaw. What I REALLY want is a thru axle without the lever (turn it with a hex wrench) for the back to eliminate a hangy bit that catches on stuff sometimes.

I tried asking them about making 135x9 and 190x10 RWS for QR fatbikes. They told me some crazy crap like needing to pay for R&D and a 300 minimum.
Needless to say, I dropped it.

I've toyed with the idea of a hollow ti axle with an allen with a loop on one end and another piece to make it a t wrench stored inside of said axle.
